Our thoughts are with Eleonore's family in these enormously sad days. We'll always be grateful to our dear friend Christine for introducing us to her beloved mother. It was truly an honor, a wonderful gift to have met her. Eleonore was exceptionally kind-hearted, a truly beautiful, loving soul.
One of our fondest memories of Eleonore was the day she visited us in Canada with Gerd. She stood in our backyard, Lake Erie behind her. With a radiant smile she told us how much she enjoyed herself, then opened her arms as if she would have wanted to embrace the entire world. When we met her again, it felt comfortable and at home to be in her warm embrace. Eleonore will always have a special place in our hearts.
Our love and deepest sympathies are with Eleonore's daughters Christine and Tammy, and their entire family.
